- In more than fifteen Quebec palliative care homes. Note that in most of these facilities, the patient must first be admitted to receive palliative care. Subsequently, they can put in a request for medical assistance in dying if they wish to do so and if they meet all legal criteria.
This list is regularly updated as soon as we are informed that a home has changed its approach to align with our society and patient care.
The request for medical assistance in dying administered by a physician, in the patient’s home, must be made according to the usual procedure. At the time of a person’s assessment by the physician who will administer MAID, they must inform this physician of their wish.
